Type of Dive: Bull bay in Anglesey is a shallow Shingle & rock beach shore dive in a protected part of the bay.

Suggested Experience: Novice

Travel directions: From the North Wales Expressway (A55) over the Menei straight, At junction 8, take the A5025 exit to Benllech/Amlwch, Slight right at Rutland Rd and 130m to Bull bay. 35 mins 19 Miles  Google

Parking directions: Park as close to the opening in the wall as possible or if you have a 4x4 you can park at the top of the beach.

Tides: Tide tables  Your best to plan diving bulls bay 2hrs before high water.

Depth: 14m Max

Site entry/exit: Its a simple short walk down from the car into the water.

Underwater directions: Keep to the left (facing the sea) at the start of the dive there are the scattered remains of a small paddle steamer called the Pansy not much is left, and continue out looking in all the cracks and rocks out towards the point. Only go past the point on slack water and you have experience diving here.

Other comments: Its popular with jet skis here but they mostly stay in the middle of the bay and I would still use an SMB. You usually get better viz diving here on a neap tide. Bull bay is often used to launch when diving the Dakota.
